Sustainable & Responsible Travel
Small choices that keep Vietnam's landscapes, heritage and communities thriving for future visitors.
Reduce plastic
Carry a reusable water bottle and bag, decline single-use straws and bags where you can, and refill at your hotel instead of buying small bottles every day.
Respect nature & heritage
Stay on marked trails, take your rubbish with you, and leave stones, shells and artefacts where they belong. Keep a respectful distance from wildlife and never buy products made from endangered species.
Choose responsibly
Pick licensed tour operators and boat crews who follow safety and environmental rules. In craft villages, buy directly from makers so more of the money stays in the community.
Support communities
Stay in locally run homestays, eat at family-run places and learn a few words of Vietnamese — small gestures make a real difference. Always ask before photographing people or entering private spaces.
